For 3 years Simran(Ren) has been suffering from excruciating and constant abdominal & pelvic pain; the result of injury that was inflicted to her bladder and uterus; PTSD, narcoleptic episodes, extreme memory loss. She is no longer able to walk on her own due to the pain it entails, and cannot be left alone. Her husband, Steven, is her sole caretaker, caring for her in every possible way: he carries her to and from the bathroom every day, clothes her, feeds her, and bathes her all while he himself is a disabled vet with severe physical disabilities as well.
Last year Ren was able to participate in a clinical trial for a spinal implant that gave her enough pain relief to start physical therapy. Unfortunately, it had to be removed due to infection, and the surgeon has cleared her for re-implantation, but surgery dates have been pushed back because of insurance complications. They have already spent nearly $40,000 on medical expenses and have waited 3 years to reach out for the help of friends and family.
Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated!
