Hey everyone who has ever spent time in the QT world!
Unfortunately Don Pedro, the unofficial mayor of Xiprian, the man who has welcomed us into his home, who has fed us and hugged us and comforted us after the long first 2 days of Lago for the past 13 years, is not doing so well. He is having problems with his digestive tract and although is doing significantly better now than he was a month ago, is still weak and it pains us to see him in low spirits when he is normally so positive and happy about life.
He has already spent over GTQ 11,000 on medical bills which, as, we can all imagine is likely most of his savings.
He is of course much too humble to ask for help outright, so us current guides at Quetzaltrekkers Xela have decided to put this fundraiser together to try and help him cover the costs of his bills.
So - to any of you who have spent time in Don Pedro's home, enjoyed one of his refreshing pineapple milk licuados after a hot and sweaty day of hiking, eating 3 helpings of the delicious dinners made by Vicenta, laughed around their fireplace or felt the gentle embrace of his loving handshake and want to do something to help one of the objectively loveliest men in the world, please consider donating any amount possible to our fund.
Obviously 100% of the money we raise will go straight to him.
