Getting on My Feet in Coronaworld
Hello my dear friends and family. I hope you are all feeling safe and supported. My quarantine has been spent trying to support myself in the dawn of my personhood. Upon receiving my Bachelor's weeks ago I was struck with the weight of knowing that I am at the ultimate limbo. Due to my being a full-time student, part-time freelance artist and the Deputy Editor at my school's art & culture publication, I still have not received any financial assistance from the government. I am currently looking for a new home, so most of the money I am making selling my book is being saved for my down-payment. This morning, as I got into my car to begin my day of delivering books and groceries for Instacart, my car disagreed with my plans. Sitting in a feeling of helplessness, knowing that without a car or an at-home job I am now in a state of crisis, I realized that I am not the only one in this exact situation. And that is okay! We are in unimaginable times, and I have chosen to meet the struggles and fear and anger with forgiveness fervor. I have settled it for myself, and I am in need of your help. Those who donate will receive a copy of my book Birth: Scorched Earth and a personal thank you gift. I love you with all of my heart, and I appreciate you so.
