Growing up, I (Bethany) wanted nothing else but to grow up and be a mom. When I became an adult (18 years old), I dreamed that I would get married before I turned 20, have all my children that I wanted by the time I turned 25. God had a different plan for my life. There were ups and downs, and a lot of tears waiting for God to send me the man he had just for me. When He finally did I was 27 years old, we got married when I was 28, and he just turned 30. We both had some hard times before we met, and now we appreciate each other so much more. Now, let’s fast forward eleven years…Davey and I have been praying and trying for over ten years to have a family of our own. We both have been to the doctors, and all the tests came back normal. The only thing they could come with is that I needed to lose some weight before they would proceed with any treatment, and it seemed like no matter how hard I tried; it was never enough. I have asked God to take this desire out of our hearts if we are not supposed to be parents, but He seems to have fueled it so much more. So after praying about it and doing a lot of research, we both feel like adoption is the right thing for us, but we need some help raising enough to cover the fees associated with adoption.
