The PTO arranges for dinner one night during both fall and winter conferences. We also provide a luncheon and other treats during teacher appreciation week the first week of May. We know that parents are busy and often find it difficult to buy or make food to bring in for pot luck meals. That is why we decided to cater the meals and the response was very positive from the teachers. They felt pampered and cared for and definitely expressed their liking the new format. Each event (3) cost about $500 to feed 50+ people. We would like to ask for the families of North Middle to donate what they can to reach our goal. Consider this, if you would normally have signed up to bring an entree to each of the three meals, you might have spent $50 in total. A side dish for each might total $30. Dessert? $20. Can you consider donating at the same level you would have if you had to make the food at home? It is our hope to only ask once and collect enough to cover all 3 events to prevent filling your email over and over and to give you one item for your to-do list instead of 3. We are using WePay, a secure online payment agent, for your convenience. The interface is much more user friendly than PayPal. We will, of course, accept cash or check as well. Checks should be made out to Portage North Middle PTO and sent to the main office. Please email portagenorthpto@gmail.com if you have any questions.
