Make Your Own!
Started by: Chuck Schaeffer
16-year old high school sophomore Casey Schaeffer is proudly organizing Full Heart’s 5th Charity Kids Carnival, run and organized by kids, to be held (new date: May 2021 due to Covid-19 crisis) from 11 AM – 3 PM, in Yardley PA at Chester Meadow on Lakeview Drive.
Children’s entertainment includes pony rides, kids games and rides, local sports mascots, card making (which will be mailed to troops deployed overseas by A Soldier’s Hands!), face painting, balloon animals, cat rescue, raffles, refreshments and much more!
Proceeds benefit:
- A Soldier’s Hands, a 501-3(c) volunteer-run non-profit providing needed skin care products for troops deployed overseas, run by her mentor and former Yardley resident Trish Shallenberger
- The Children’s Tumor Foundation (CTF), a 501-3(c) non-profit organization dedicated to finding effective treatments for people living with neurofibromatosis (NF). NF greatly affects Altana Mukabenov, a younger classmate of Casey’s, currently on her 5th chemo trial (a clinical trial informed by early research funded by CTF) battling tumors around her airway and heart, along with other NF-related complications.
- The 3rd Full Heart Music Scholarship, an award Casey initiated in 2018 for an outstanding senior musician at Pennsbury High School to help offset college costs.
