As we all know, Arlene has been an indispensable and irreplaceable member of the CSU Office of the Chancellor and CPDC. Her retirement will leave giant shoes to fill. Her attention to detail and relentless work ethic will be hard, if not impossible, to replace. But it's also a time of celebration, particularly a career that spanned 19 years that truly was about helping students and those around her. She always did things the right way and was a shining example of class and integrity at the CO.
When she retires, she will be turning her work computer in. By doing that, she will no longer have a computer to use at home. We thought a perfect gift would be to purchase a personal laptop for her. If you feel so inclined, we would greatly appreciate your contribution to purchasing a laptop for Arlene as a retirement gift that will be presented to her at her party (12/3). Should we be able to fundraise in excess of her gift, any remaining proceeds will be used for her party. Should any proceeds remain after that, any leftover funds will given to her via gift cards.
