Wormy's Medical Costs
Worm is a chihuahua mixed with God-knows-what. He has allergies that require special food, a heart murmur, scarring in his esophagus, a hyper-sensitive stomach and GI tract, and suspected Intervertebral Disk Disease in his cervical spine (neck).
Long story short, we cannot confirm IVDD without an MRI, which runs between $2500-$3000. If the IVDD is confirmed, surgery costs anywhere from $2000-$4000 dollars, which DOES NOT include medications, post-op care, rehab, bloodwork, or his heart recheck.

Hi everybody, thank you for your help... monetary or sharing are EXTREMELY appreciated! Worm's back brace came in today. I ordered it hoping it would keep his back stable and prevent further injury. It is from lilbackbracer.com. He is a little weirded out by it at the moment, but that is just because it's new. I will update on the brace occasionally :) I also wanted mention that while Worm's recent UTI cleared up, there is a chance for him to get a new one. It is very odd for male dogs to get UTIs, so there may be an underlying cause. Yippee! Hopefully it was just a fluke.
