Hello family and friends! I hope you are doing well!
As some of you may know, I have been presented with an awesome opportunity to participate in a program run through my vet school, Ontario Veterinary College! Myself, along with 47 other veterinary students, will be traveling abroad to practice International Veterinary Medicine. This summer, I will be going to Southeast Asia, specifically Thailand, Bali and Nepal, to provide volunteer veterinary aid to animal organizations. This will be an invaluable opportunity to experience veterinary medicine in a different setting and to assist veterinarians in projects related to population control, wildlife rehabilitation, and public education. All my placements are at dog/cat shelters and rescues where I will get the opportunity to help with surgeries, general welfare, physical exams, street feeding programs, administering medication, physiotherapy, wound management, vaccinations and more! We are a non-profit student-run initiative that relies on generous donations (with funds going to medical supplies and shelter operation costs), and I would like you to consider making a donation to our cause. Any amount you are be able to contribute would be greatly appreciated. Your donations go a long way towards travel costs, taking supplies to the shelters, living costs, travel visas and more.
