Dear Ones,
Lil' Shanti Om is having Oral Surgery Monday May 13th and it will cost between $700 and $1200 dollars! She just turned 5 years old 5/5/19 and she is really in dire need of this treatment. If she doesn't get some teeth pulled and gums cleaned and healed, she could die young...
Since 2 months old, she has always hated when we try to look in her mouth. I tried to brush her teeth as a puppy consistently, but it just wasn't working. I thought, maybe I'm just being obsessive, how many people are really doing this... and we bought her some greenie chews and left it be.
Over time, she came to hate mouth touch even more, and everyone came to know how bad her breath was. I didn't realize chihuahuas always have bad teeth, and I was shocked at the proclamation from the vet that she needed this level of treatment.
Around April 30th I thought she had something stuck in her teeth and tried to look to pull it out and it turned out it was her white rotten gums hanging out of her mouth like a string! It fell out on its own or got chewed off in a couple days, and I'm worried for infections.
A debt consolidation loan has freed up my credit enough that I have a card to put a surgery on, but I am still barely making ends meet, with help from friends, and really need support to be able to keep my dog from dieing very young from advanced oral infection destroying her overall health.
She is on preparatory antibiotics.Monday morning she gets sleepy gas and surgery.

I have a cute little dork now with her tongue sticking out, but just at the morning after she's already energetic and happy running around and acting sweet, gosh it must be a big relief. I look forward to watching her improve and slim down and get more and more Happy all summer long. Thanks for throwing a few dollars towards the cost of helping her :-)

The Procedure went great! She had 15 teeth taken out that were mostly rotted and loose, and they didn't need to cut or stitch! Thank goodness! She still has around 26 teeth and will be able to chew and function happily. The total cost is around $620 and with contributions I am putting up about $400 today to go pick her up. Still hoping for some support with that, my debt is so high and payments kick my butt... Here's a pic of her going in, shows her teeth, the last pic of her smiling insisors, she'll come home with a nofront teeth grin :-D
