Make Your Own!
Started by: Amber Parks
While picking up medicine for her own dogs, my mom heard a woman sobbing at the vet. Her pup, her best friend, had been hit while they were on a walk, with the pick-up truck barely missing the woman.
Without the funds to pay for surgery, the woman was facing the excruciating choice of putting down her dog.
My mom just would not let that happen. She agreed to be pay for the surgery. They hugged, as my mom assured her, "There are good people in the world."
The sweet pup has already had the surgery to amputate the crushed leg and is on the mend. She will make a full recovery.
So, in an effort to show my mama and the woman just how many good people there are in the world, we are collecting funds to cover the cost of the surgery and provide the woman a few items for her beloved companion, including a new dog bed and a month's supply of food.
Whether it's $1 or $100, we are grateful for all contributions.
P.S. This picture is of my beloved Lilly, another pup my mom rescued 14 years ago after being hit. She passed away just a few months ago. Her spirit lives on in helping another pup live a long and prosperous life.
