Our 8.5 year old doggo has a torn doggo ACL that requires surgery. We’ve been given an estimate of $3000 for the surgery and follow-up visits, plus another $500 for overnight stays, boarding, and rehab.

Latest Update

She’s home! And already trying to jump up on things like nothing ever happened. 🙄

Sorry I didn’t update earlier; surgery went well. While her cruciale ligament was definitely torn, the rest of the joint looks good and there were no complications. She was out for her first walk when I called to check in this afternoon, and we’ll get a call tomorrow morning with an update. Assuming she doesn’t develop a fever or any other signs of infection, she should be good to discharge tomorrow!

Kay’s at the vet for observation before tomorrow morning’s surgery. As soon as I get an update tomorrow morning, I’ll post it here! The house is far too calm without her here. 😭
