Halloween 2018 was spent in the waiting room of an emergency vet's office. After noticing toward the end of the weekend that her baby wasn't acting like himself - and wasn't eating - his human took Elliot to the vet on Tuesday, 10/30. He was given a SubQ I.V. and sent back to his mom with a mostly-clean bill of health, as the vet couldn't find anything wrong. But something didn't feel right. So another vet visit, 2 I.V.'s, an x-ray, an overnight, and 2 ultrasounds later and - bam! - emergency canine abdominal surgery for a girl's bestfriend. Because of a corn cob.

Now, Elliot is a special boy, and his mother loves him very much. They both work at a doggy daycare in Tennessee, and Elliot never fails to greet clients as they come in. He's a fan favorite wherever he goes! He enjoys camping and adores the children of his neighborhood. His human is rarely seen without him, and works really hard to give him the life he deserves. Along with sharing his campaign to help them with their medical bills if you can; share his campaign to help show how dangerous a simple corn cob really is to your furry-friend! They are hard to see when scanned, and smell like food that your dog would go for - even if they aren't normally inclined to. Make sure your dog has ZERO access to trash cans, kids. Thank you. <3

Latest Update

We are 2 days post-op, and we are hating our cone! But! We were able to take the bandage off of Elliot's incision today, and it looks like it is healing as it should! He's eating, drinking, and grumbling like normal. :) Thanks for checking in! -The Human
