Planning for Doug's final expenses
My dear sister April's beloved Doug Anderson, her very best friend and partner in life for 17 years has been placed in a hospice care home. April has been working so hard to make sure that Doug is well cared for and loved in his last days. She has the hardest time thinking about that "final" day. She is really struggling financially but she found a Johnson's Funeral Home in Salem that will allow her to pay the expenses in payments, but really, she cannot afford yet another payment! My goal through this campaign is to help her raise enough money to pre-pay for his final expenses and possibly a little extra to plan an intimate celebration of life gathering for friends and family which would provide a loving sense of closure. Cremation, death certificates, an urn and transportation will be @$1,100. Johnson's funeral home can open up space for a celebration of life for family and friends for about $450.00. Flowers, obituary, refreshments, memorial cards etc would run about $250.00, probably more, but this is our conservative estimation. My goal is to raise $1800.00 for these expenses so that April has one less worry during this very difficult time. Whatever your heart moves you to contribute would be greatly appreciated.
