On Friday January 4, my father, Scott, went to the hospital because he was having some breathing issues. Unexpectedly, he was admitted to the ICU of St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
His heart and lungs are damaged and his blood is not getting enough oxygen. He is currently sedated and on a ventilator.
My parents do not have a lot of money. Scott is self employed, but hasn't been able to work in 2 weeks. My mother, Patty, works part time at a local bar & grill. This sudden turn of events is not something we ever saw coming.
We do not have a timetable for Scott nor an anticipated discharge date which means insurmountable medical bills for his life saving care.
This is not something they would ever ask for themselves and I am unfortunately not in a position to help them out directly.
Please consider helping my family.
Anything will help.
Thank you.
