On May 9, 2021, the Colorado Springs community experienced an act of senseless violence that resulted in a devastating tragedy.

Six people are dead after a gunman entered a birthday party and began shooting inside a mobile home in Colorado Springs before killing himself during the early-morning hours of Mother’s Day.

We are mourning the deaths of these eight community members:

Melvin Perez

Mayra Perez

Joana Cruz

Many have asked how to help. We have established the Colorado Springs May 9th Survivors Fund through the National Compassion Fund for donations to provide direct financial assistance to the survivors of the deceased and those affected by this tragedy. The priority is to give the victims’ families the long-term help and support they’ll need in the years ahead.

It is managed by the National Compassion Fund, a program of the National Center for Victims of Crime.

One hundred percent (100%) of the funds raised will go to the families and those affected by the tragedy. Donations made to this fund are tax deductible.

The outpouring of support and requests to help across the community has been overwhelming. Thank you for honoring our team members and friends.
