Well, we know that Dave had something of a winter hobby, and that there was one place where it culminated each season. On the third Saturday of February, for twenty seven years, Asp would be racing the American Birkebeiner. The ABS (Birkie) Foundation is currently raising money to support a new outdoor center and season-long skiing at the OO Trailhead, the infamous halfway point of the race. Contribute now, and later we will sip on cocoa in a beautiful new center and remember the good times with our friend and coach, Dave Asp. If he taught you to ski, if you have skied alongside him, or if you have been granted the joy of knowing him, donate in his memory today. Hiya hiya!
