So, super short version: I am trying to have facial feminization surgery to help make my day to day life safer.
As some of you know, I have been the victim of transphobic assaults in the past; while I don’t avoid going out, it has left me with a lot of fear.
Between that fear and dysphoria, as well as the fact that my job as a musician means that I am in front of a lot of people regularly, going out can be hard. This is something that, because of my history, I have dreamed of this for 9 years now. I have found the surgeons I want to go to, and already consulted with them; I pretty much know everything I need to and trust them to do the job well.
I’ll update this more as I go, but long story long, that’s what this is for.
