Hi friends and family,
Josefine Noelle Allen was born Friday, August 30th at 6:41am. Unfortunately, Josefine was born blue/gray, limp, and not breathing. After getting Josefine oxygen and having her stabilized, Josefine once again turned blue and wasn’t breathing. She then had a seizure in her mother's arms, and was immediately transferred to the NICU.
Doctors are preparing her amazing parents, Erika and Edwin, for the reality of caring for Josefine in the coming months. Josefine will be taking seizure medications and will have to be kept under a close watch in the case that she stops breathing or has a seizure and needs to be rushed to the hospital. This means new and unexpected expenses, which include:
- a heart-rate monitor
- a raised halo bassinet
- seizure medications
- NICU and neurology bills
We have received an outpour of love from you all and have been asked by many how they can help. One way is by contributing to this fund, where you will be helping these new parents and beautiful little baby be a little more at peace once they arrive home.
