My name is Holly and I am a 35 year old single mother to two teenaged boys named Jayden and Jordyn, and a furbaby named Wesley. I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast cancer in March and had a double mastectomy in April. By the time of surgery, the cancer had already spread from one breast into the other and into my lymph nodes. The tumor they removed from my right breast was 10 cm in diameter, and was so large that it went from my chest to my back. I am now nearing the end of a 6 month aggressive chemotherapy cycle that has left me devastatingly ill at times and unable to work. I will be beginning a 6 week period of radiation following my completion of chemotherapy, and my oncologists will not allow me to return to work again until radiation is over in January. The strain of being on a modified income for 7 months, the pressure of trying to keep my home that I worked so hard to provide for my children, the cost to keep my health insurance so I can get the cancer treatment I need, and the mounting medical expenses have left me at the end of my rope. I am so grateful to anyone that wants to lend a hand to the boys and I during this little bump in the road! Thank you all for your support! 2020 is going to be the best year yet!
