I was diagnosed with Crohn's, an autoimmune disease, when I was 22. As many of you know, I have lived with and managed this condition for 30 years. For the first fifteen, I was able to do it primarily through diet and natural remedies. Eventually, I needed to opt for surgery to improve the condition (once in 2009 and 2011). Each time this worked for a few years, but then inflammatory symptoms reappeared and worsened. Recently, things have gotten more challenging. This year, the Crohn's symptoms have flared again and I find myself in rapid decline, losing weight and in pain.
I do not have the option of more surgeries. And the prescribed medications I am now taking are not having a strong effect for the positive (indeed, considering the side effects, they may be more negative than positive). I need to seek another option.

UUPDATE: Wow! I am completely humbled and just overwhelmed with gratitude for all of the support! So far we have raised more than I even asked for. I am working with the hospital in Mexico trying to get in as soon as possible. I will apply the contributions donated beyond my goal towards a healing place for me to land when I get back to NorCal....True North Healing Center in Santa Rosa (link below).
My hope is the stay there will allow for a deeper detox and dietary reset so that I can be successful with my new diet/lifestyle instead of slipping back.
