Due to a mix of health challenges/positive life changes, it's time for me to leave the Bay.

I aim to vacate my current cozy home at the end of July. It's increasingly hard to save for moving while spending ever more just to remain fed & housed, so I’m reaching out to my global family to help me get to where I’m going, where I can do the most good and build a richer life with the small change and large measure of resourcefulness in my pockets. All I need is a little more gas to achieve lift-off.

Latest Update

Thank you, framily! In the first two days we rocketed to 60% of my matched-savings goal. At this level, I can aim for the Corvallis-Albany area and pay for an indie mover + storage. Sending job apps this week to local colleges <3

My contributions: $1000 in savings, $800 to be returned from current security deposit My modest goal: to get my savings matched so I can feel more secure in this journey than I did the one to California! That’s $1000 in matching funds. My comfort goal: $2600 to cover basic logistical needs in a new and wider rural territory Securing a car = $1000 Est. security + 1st month’s rent = $1000 Est. sublet while home searching = $600 My lofty goal: $4,000 to truly hold me through two months or more of transforming my living situation. This allows me to remain focused & empowered to choose the right environment, and the kind of work that will feed me rather than deplete me & wreck my body. Debts (student loans): $180 x 2 months Food: $200 x 2 mo. Phone: $35 x 2 mo. New Oregon DL: $80 Car registration & insurance: $165 fees & est. $50-60 bare bones coverage Gas: est. $120 x 2 mo. Ability to see acupuncturist or massage therapist for chronic pain: $60 x 2 mo. Apartment app fees: est. $50
