We were all blindsided by my sister's cancer diagnosis. The one thing that hasn't surprised me in the last few weeks is how many people have reached out to me who love my sister and are looking for ways to support her and her family.
The only thing Mandy and Andy have asked for is ongoing encouragement and prayers. They are not alone in this, and I hope we all check in on them frequently, send them cards, and pray hard and pray often. They also acknowledge that there will likely be times they will need to lean on their support system to help with the boys as cancer and chemo are not a walk in the park.
While they are identifying certain times we all can help with the boys or with the house, I have created this site to share some ways we might help alleviate some of their stress so they can spend time together rather than dealing with other stressors in life.
For details on Mandy's cancer journey, follow her caringbridge site: https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/mandyparchert. On the caringbridge site, you can read their journal entries, check their planner to see if there are any specific visit or support requests, and leave all those well wishes!
