In March 2019 I will be traveling to Costa Rica with other Pre-PA and Pre-Med students from University of South Carolina to serve families that are unable to receive the proper healthcare that they deserve. As a member of the executive board of the Association of Pre-PA Students, I am hoping that I can help lead the group and provide a large impact on the community that we will be serving. My goal is to gain an understanding of global health and assist in the provision of public health education so that the citizens of the city can learn how to improve their lifestyles and well-being.

Unfortunately, the cost of the trip and airfare is rather expensive so that is why I have created this page. I am hoping that by getting a helping hand from families and friends, that I will be able to have an impact on individuals that truly deserve more. I am still unable to fathom the great diversity between healthcare advances when comparing the United States to Costa Rica and other developing countries. We all take for granted how easy it is to go to the doctors or get a prescription when there are people in the world who have no access to healthcare or any medications. I am extremely lucky to have the privilege of learning so much about the healthcare system through my major; with this knowledge I hope to make a difference in the world, not only in the US as a future Physician Assistant, but also as a student.
