Dear Village,
Our forest baby has arrived and we are thrilled! Thank you so much already for the text, calls and love. Many of you have asked what we need from our village right now in order to celebrate, anchor, and support our growing family.
When it comes to clothes, toys and books, you all spoiled our first child perfectly and our network of hand-me-arounds is entirely activated. However, in lieu of a registry, gifts or a meal train, we set up this fund to receive cash instead. This will be an immense help in covering adoption costs (in conjunction with my generous employers' contribution).
This is an incredible time for our family and we are already enjoying nesting with our children (we can't believe we're a family of four!). One of our favorite parts of being a village is remembering the words of Khalil Gibran and sharing those with you here and now, as a reminder of how magical it is to prioritize children.
