My friends are foster adoptive parents caught up in a surreal nightmare. They have loved the children in their home; cared, nurtured, and have done everything any parent would do for who they describe as their hearts and souls.
Being in a very broken social service system, any time an issue arises- despite it being disproven and shown false- these children are removed from their loving, safe, and only homes they've known. These parents are devastated and living in a daily nightmare while the system runs it's course. The problem is that these babies are young, bonded to their parents, and this experience is extremely traumatic for the entire family. It can be a very slow moving social services process and this family is desperately trying to obtain legal representation to try and bring their babies home, especially since they were a few weeks from a final adoption date. The youngest had been with these parents since he came home from the hospital. This realm of the law is intricate and expensive and leaving my friends begging for help to fund the lawyer's retainer of $8,500+ to begin this case.
I beg you to look in your heart and think of the desperation these parents are going through. Having their babies ripped away, after giving their every day life to care for these children they adore. These kids are too young for them to needlessly spend up to 60+ days away from their parents, because of paperwork and a slow moving system. Please consider donating anything to help bring this family back together. Thank you!
