I’m reaching out on behalf of my dear friends, Cameron and Katie MacGregor. They have been struggling with infertility for the last 5 years and would love to welcome a child into their family. If you know Cam and Katie, you understand what amazing parents they both would be.
Cameron has been a youth soccer coach in the local community for the last 15 years. He is a true mentor and coach to these young kids. His dedication goes beyond the soccer field, and he even stays involved in their lives after he no longer coaches them. Katie has worked in preschools, including caring for children with disabilities. She enjoys preparing younger children with the proper skills they'll need in school. They are both involved in the lives of their friend’s children and are close to their nephews and niece.
Over the last few years, they have experienced a lot together, trying many different avenues to get pregnant. Initial costs just to begin fertility testing were around $8,000, coupled with another $3,000 worth of blood work.
Following this, it was determined by fertility specialists that Cam has no sperm count. So, for the past 3 years, they’ve been trying IUI with a sperm donor. Each IUI treatment cost was $3,500. They did have one successful IUI and Katie became pregnant, but unfortunately it resulted in a miscarriage which they found out about on Cam’s birthday in 2021. Due to the high costs of IUI, they have transitioned to doing self-insemination at home. Over the past 5 years they have spent more than $25,000 on their journey to become parents. Through all of this, they both have stayed positive that they are going to have the outcome they desire, a child to love with everything they have.
Katie is my child’s godmother and is involved in EVERYTHING; even decisions that Robbie makes about his life! She attends each one of his school plays and is present for all important milestones he reaches.
I have known Cam and Katie since high school and love them like my own brother and sister. It really is heartbreaking for me to see the two most loving, caring and kid-friendly people not to have the last piece to complete their family puzzle, a child of their own.
Cam and Katie have begun the process to be adoptive parents. I have started this fundraising site to help them with some of the costs that go along with becoming adoptive parents.
I know that Cam and Katie’s never-ending, love and compassion for others will undoubtedly transfer over to their new addition to their family. So, I’m asking you to help them achieve the goal of their young family, which is to have a child of their own so they can officially be complete. Please consider supporting them with a financial gift to alleviate some of the costs incurred with adoption.
The PayPal feature is currently closed on this account, if you would like to contribute please do so either by check or Venmo. Katie’s Venmo is @Katie-MacGregor-11. I apologize for this inconvenience, hopefully PayPal will be up and running soon!!
I am also attaching their profile to this page. Sharing the MacGregor’s profile on your social media pages could help them to complete their family. Many adoptive parents find their child by friends and family members sharing their information. Thank you all so much!
