It is quickly becoming spring time when the flowers will begin to bloom and fill the ground with their beautiful colors and all the wonderful smells that come along with a new time of life. Again this year I am reaching out to update anyone who took time to help with my daughter’s sudden life changing diagnosis. Unfortunately the doctors have ordered another round of High intensive radiation and chemotherapy treatments and several other issues that truly should be addressed to allow her to be more comfortable going forward. This is certainly Not the news a Dad wanted to share or hear .If you received this update it’s because you took your time to feel my pain and had compassion on another person journey through this short life.. From the bottom of our hearts we are forever great full ❤️

Please fill free to contact me by any means to see if there’s a way you could help this beautiful family fight this financial hardship they are truly facing again.♥️

May peace be with you always.

Latest Update

I do believe this plumbfund will go away December 31 st so I want to post what may be a final update here. Kerri has completed her therapies as her doctors have recommended they remain hopeful but still monitoring her closely. Her body is responding to things but leave her obviously tired and sick a lot . As of today a phone call from her team revealed her white blood count is good but red blood count is concerning. She goes for more fluids seems like twice weekly to stay hydrated. She has faced cancer and stood her ground, she has kept herself positive and remains strong willed to win. After hearing so much about this type of treatment I only shake my head at her strength to see this through, she is strong , positive and also my hero . Thank you to everyone who has helped this beautiful woman on this most difficult journey Sincerely Carmen.

Kerri today completes week 4 of treatments, while the staff are working so very hard and the cancer is trying to still continue to grow, and the drugs are getting to her more and more ,she remains in high spirits. Donations have come from north to south , and east to west . And more are yet to arrive. Many of you I won’t be able to see or hug you for caring donations, but I will someday.!! We all continue to be there for her and share this journey as best we can where and how we can. Our hearts are filled with the outpouring of love from you all. We truly thank you 🙏

Things don’t always go the way you want or think they should and things don’t happen as fast as you want or need. Time is of the essence rite now and going forward, this mass has grown in size , but has not dampened Kerri’s love of life or how she conquers everyday . She has hit the halfway point in the original treatment plan and is looking forward to getting the entire plan completed. She is determined she is optimistic and strong. Thank you everyone who is and will be a part of Team Kerri 🙏

I am so impressed with this girl and her strength. After the tests and port install, they have wasted no time in the start of the process. I can honestly say after speaking to her today the out pouring of support is so very humbling. She is committed to focusing on her .!!!. This is to me what will make the stress of the process less of a burden on the family overall. Even as the kids spend long treatment days waiting for her she will pop in and be Mom, and then quietly fade off to bed as the kids get ready for bed she can quietly rebuild from her experience from the day and get ready for another day of the same . It is with much love I will keep you posted

Hello Everyone, I’d like to humbly thank you for what you have done for my daughter. She remains in as good a spirit as she can . I am in daily contact with open conversations as we usually do, We are able to chat about anything, and everything. She has a very strong family unit, now she sees their is a whole community in her corner. Getting her port installed this week as their are just too many injections coming weekly that could collapse veins during the treatments. Your thoughts and your prayers are with her and now with you kindness she can stay focused on doing what’s in front of her knowing the kids will be provided for while Caleb needs off work to be her caregiver. Your kindness touches my heart, and won’t be forgotten. Carmen

Thanks dad for updating everyone. Between doctors and the kids and taking time to just breath it's not that I don't want to send updates. My phone doesn't stop ringing and the kids don't stop saying mom mom mom mom.. he hit me! She won't let me! He's being mean! I never wanna play with you again! And then there is the phone again 🙄😒 my first 2nd opinion wouldn't see me when I showed up. But that's OK. His Loss my gain. I did looking into him and he is mostly into clinical trials and I'm not a lab rat (atleast not yet) however we got lucky that day because there is another oncologist not far from our house we were lucky to get an appointment with. That poor man moved everything around must have been 3 or 4 times to get me in this coming Monday 🧡💛 then the port - scary as he'll BTW - on the 15th. Unless the 2nd second opinion on Monday thinks differently I start chemo on the 18th and radiation on the 19th. I do that for 6-7 weeks followed by Brachytherapy for 2.5 weeks.

Things can never move fast enough, but Kerri has been scheduled for the radiation and chemotherapy first steps , I have encouraged her to attempt a daily journal, just because things get blurry with time . Her half sister will be driving in to have a visit and a prayer this weekend before the madness starts, support is coming from the most unlikely places and I can’t thank you enough. Please share this as your heart calls upon you🙏

-it wouldn't let me type any more- All will be well. We got this! Even the kids are being strong 💪 and if they can anyone can. Our family has been dealing with so much the past few years. And as a mother my family does not deserve the label of cancer, doesn't matter how strong they are. So I ask you all to know and remember this. It's ok because it's not covid it's just cancer- so many are not making it from covid. - And Cancer doesn't have me. I have cancer. And I'm strong. 🧡🌈
