What is Mifgash?
Mifgash is a two week seminar for older members of Hashomer Hatzair North America, a Socialist Zionist Jewish youth movement, in Israel and Palestine. College-aged participants spent years as campers and counselors at Hashomer camps, learning about social justice movements and collectives in the region; now, we will get to meet with and learn from groups and individuals who address issues of inequity in Israel and Palestine from environmental, economic, political and social perspectives. Mifgash aims to inspire and encourage passionate Shomrim (members of Hashomer Hatzair) to collectively engage with their communities as they enter adulthood in the coming years.
Mifgash was once an annual trip that had been discontinued in recent years, but the current generation of counselors has spent the last year planning and rebuilding it. However, we still need to raise funds to cover all of the costs of the trip, which is why we are turning to you, the community, to help us ensure that no interested participant will be held back by financial barriers. Please consider donating so that everyone who has helped to build this amazing trip is able to participate, and gain tools and knowledge to try to make this world a better place. Any amount of money would greatly assist our fellow members in joining in this incredible opportunity. Thank you very much!
