Hi! My name is Vania Love and I am the owner and educator of Journey 5:11 Academy. After working with children for many years as a caregiver, educator, and Montessori school director, I felt compelled to start a school so that I could offer a learning experience in my community where children would receive the skills needed to help them become strong, confident learners. In December 2018 I left my job as a Montessori school director, and in January of 2019 my husband and I opened our home welcoming our first three students and within just a couple of months we enrolled 9 more.
We have created such a unique learning experience at Journey 5:11. Our students are retaining information and skills that are beyond what's expected for their age, and we don't sacrifice their play to achieve those results. We ensure that each day is an unforgettable experience by supporting their personal interest, providing limitless opportunities for discovery both outdoors and indoors, and using music and art to help them retain and understand skills in math, science/culture, and literacy, while also teaching practical life skills.
Journey 5:11 is growing and the interest in enrollment continues to increase. It's time for us to transition out of our home and into a commercial space, and we need your support! We are asking for donations to help us in this transition, and to purchase children's furniture and new learning materials.
