Our beloved Jikan is opening the first pages of a new chapter in her life and needs our help.
Jikan lived at Yokoji for over four years and during that time was an integral part of the sangha, serving as Tenzo. She shared her cooking, her teachings and her light with every person who stepped on the property during that time. Before this, she devoted 15 years to spiritual practice and serving other communities.
Now Jikan is on a new adventure, her ultimate goal is to move to San Diego and get chaplaincy pastoral training so that she can continue serving others. In the meantime, while she applies for the position and saves up funds, Jikan got a job at Idyllwild Arts Academy as kitchen help and is moving to Idyllwild for it.
While Jikan was receiving a stipend for her position as Tenzo, as well as the love and support of all of Yokoji's residents and staff, this big move requires a sum that could not be saved up on a stipend. Jikan has touched so many lives, if you are one of them, please consider helping us support Jikan in her future endeavors, as she continues to fulfill her pastoral vow to live a life of service. This money will help cover her basic expenses as she moves and settles in. Specifically, rent, rent security deposit, car tires, and cell phone service. All help is greatly appreciated. Deepest bows _/\_
