Thanks to years of grassroots community support, Kelly Savage was released from prison in early November 2018. Kelly was prosecuted and sentenced to life without parole as a punishment for being unable to control her abusive husband’s deadly violence toward her child when he discovered that she was planning to escape with her children. Kelly was imprisoned for 23 years.
Like most incarcerated people, Kelly was poor when she was criminalized and she was released from prison with $200 to her name. Kelly has provided countless incarcerated people with care and advocacy over the years, supporting their survival and release. We are so excited to reciprocate this care. Please contribute to Kelly’s homecoming fund so she has the resources she needs to rebuild her life after prison.
Thank you for your kindness and solidarity!
