As part of my participation in the Brave New Leaders Academy, I was charged with developing a Community Action Project. My goal is to raise $750.00 to purchase a variety of children's books to donate to the Sebastopol Union School District. These books will highlight the importance of diversity in our community. Teaching tolerance, anti-racism and the benefits of diversity are necessary lessons that need to happen at early ages.

Hi all, I'm so excited to receive the first shipment of books to share! There are many more books on the way, but here's a look at what I've gotten so far. Thank you all for helping me reach my goal! Your support and generosity goes to show that this is an important cause. I am raising my goal in hopes of sharing more books with more schools, so please feel free to spread the word. I'd love more help to donate as many books as possible. Feel free to reach out if you have any book suggestions of children's books that promote diversity and encourage anti-racist ideas. I'm excited to start shopping and will update with photos soon!
