Inspiring the Vision of Tomorrow. Teens helping fund cataract surgeries for those in need!
WikiVision's mission is to educate young adults about important health issues from a biomedical engineer's point of view. We are hosting a free Cataract Surgery day for our ohana that cannot afford this sight-restoring surgery so they can live a better and more productive life. Our upcoming 2nd WikiVision Cataract Surgery Day is set for September 3rd, 2022. The cost of cataract surgery is between $6000 to $10,000 for people with no insurance. While most of this cost will be donated through the services of our sponsors, we still need to provide for transportation, accommodation, and medication. Therefore we are hosting a charity concert to help raise funds for this event on August 28th at 4pm HST.
