Kaia’s 1st Bday
Kaia’s FIRST revolution around the sun is almost here! Turning ONE is such a special event but this year we’d like to forgo birthday gifts. Instead, we’d rather donate a special gift to the babies, families, and staff at the NICU in St. Mary’s Hospital (Duluth, MN). Last year, during our 3 week adventure in the NICU, we received a sweet gift in honor of a little girl named Sophie celebrating her 1st Birthday. We want to pass along the kindness this year in honor of Kaia’s 1st Bday! Thank you to all of our friends and family this year for all of your love, support, and generosity. We are fortunate enough not to need any clothing or toys for our growing girl.
Thank you in advance to everyone that helps us give back to a cause we’re passionate about. Any contribution given from the bottom of your heart will forever serve as a reminder to Kaia that spreading love & kindness makes the world better.

Estamos a punto de completar la primera vuelta alrededor del Sol desde que Kaia nació. Cumplir un AÑO de Vida es un evento muy especial para celebrar, es por ello que nos gustaría poder hacerlo a través de un Acto de Amor y Caridad. Nos gustaría poder entregar a nombre de Kaia una Donación para ayudar a todos los bebes, familias y el Equipo de Trabajo de la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos del Hospital ST. MARY'S en Duluth, MN.
Cuando nosotros estuvimos en la UCI recibimos un regalo en honor a el primer CUMPLEAÑOS de una niña llamada Sophie. Ese acto nos llenó el corazón de Amor y nos motivó a hacer lo mismo con otras familias en honor a el primer CUMPLEAÑOS de KAIA.
Gracias a nuestra Familia y amigos por todo el apoyo, el cariño y generosidad de sus corazones. Nosotros no planeamos celebrar con fiesta, ni regalos, juguetes o ropa para nuestra Kaia, solo queremos invitarlos y hacerlos participes de la Donación con lo que sus corazones esten dispuestos a compartir.
Gracias de antemano a todos por su generosidad y por contribuir a esta causa tan especial para nosotros.
Toda contribución que se haga con Amor será un gran recuerdo para Kaia y una enseñanza de que compartir con Amor y bondad siempre hace el mundo mejor.

Kaia visited her favorite superheroes today! She was very curious about all the fun decorations on the walls but also wanted to play with the nurses’ badges. It was especially emotional for me to walk back into this place with a happy & healthy 1 year old... especially when I think back on the 3 weeks we were there. Sending so much love to all the preemie babies and their mamas ♥️ But also the magnificent NICU nurses that give their all day in and day out.

Thanks to Whole Foods we can include some awesome deals in each gift bag for families to buy groceries and snacks. We will also be getting some delicious treats for the amazing staff!!! Kaia was born on the 9th and we didn’t get released until 31st. It’s crazy to think how long it takes preemie babies to learn how to feed and get the strength they need just to go home. It’s because of the amazing NICU nurses that we learned so much and didn’t lose hope. We can’t wait to visit Kaia’s favorite super heroes ♥️

Hello Everyone! Thank you so much for your kindness and contributions. We are still gathering all the goodies to include in gift bags for families & brave babies! Here are some of the homemade blankets, stocking hats, and lotion drops that will be included!!!
