It's hard to believe, but our beloved J.C. turns 50 years old on May 16, 2022. Much has changed since J.C. was born in the early seventies, but two things remain true: J.C. is a die-hard anglophile and, unless he's on stage singing, he hates being the center of attention. With that in mind, a traditional 50th birthday party won't cut it for J.C.
Instead, please help us surprise J.C. by realizing one of his life-long dreams...
Visiting England! We have two stops in mind: first, London, where J.C. can tour the sights and sounds of his favorite television show, Eastenders; then on to Manchester, where J.C. can visit the home of The Smiths, Joy Division, Oasis, and so many of his favorite bands and artists.
We're hoping to raise enough to cover an all-expenses paid week in England, including J.C.'s airfare, hotels, meals, entertainment, and intra- and inter-city transportation. Our goal is to raise $7,000 by J.C.'s birthday on May 16, and then J.C. can decide how he wants to allocate his budget: splurge on business class, stay at a posh(er) hotel, or maybe catch a football match at Man City or Man United. J.C. will have the freedom to choose when he travels, taking into consideration his work schedule, COVID travel restriction(s), and many other factors. Hallie and Marco will cover their own expenses as they accompany J.C. on this trip to remember.
If you have any questions about the trip, the planning, want to cover something specific, or prefer to contribute directly via cash/check/Venmo (no fees!), please contact Marco. Thank you all for making J.C.'s hop across the pond dream a reality.
This is a surprise, so please do not mention anything to J.C. We love you!
