Holly is turning 50! And Holly has really been wanting to go on a big trip. She dreams of going to the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, but she doesn't see it as a reality, so... our family has started a birthday fund to contribute to that dream. We don't expect the fund to cover the whole nut, but it might be a really great start! Please give just exactly as much as you want to give! Any amount is awesome! Since we are putting this out just days before Holly's birthday, we plan to keep the fund page open through the end of January.

Latest Update

Last night, while celebrating Holly's birthday over an intimate dinner with friends, the kids and I presented Holly with a box of clues. The clues included 5 stainless steel rings of different colors (they're actually bracelets, too); this little origami bunny (about 3/8", and folded by the staff at Kobo, our cool, local Japanese store); drawings of pole vaulting and pommel horse by Hammet; and a sweet note from Maggie... It wasn't until Holly found the list of things to do in Tokyo that it really dawned on her what we were getting at! Thanks to many of you who have already given or have stated your intention, we went ahead and let Holly know she's going to Tokyo in 2020 for the Olympics! With a look of disbelief and then excitement, little tears formed in the corners of her eyes. Thank you all for doing this for Holly's 50th! It's one to remember!
