I may be Jan's daughter, but I know that so many of you consider Jan part of your family! She has been a spiritual mother and friend and mentor to so many of you. AND she's turning the young age of 80 this year. I thought you might want to bless her on this amazing day in her life and, collectively, we can do so much more than we could with a card and a trinket. (Although she loves a good gift!)
If all of her family, friends and spiritual family could contribute $8 each to celebrate her 80th year, I know that we could bless her more than in any other way.
I do plan to have a gathering in the spring for her to have the opportunity to see people face to face, but we realize that February in the midwest isn't the smartest time to plan something. So we will wait to celebrate her with the traditional cake and punch reception in the spring when we can be guaranteed that many more of you will be able to make it!
So if you would consider an $8 gift for Jan, that would be wonderful. (I'll be honest, you can give more or less) This money would allow her to do something that she wants to do and not worry about messing up her budget (and those who know her, realize she is the budgeting queen!)
Thank you for your friendship, love and consistent care for Jan (my amazing Mom). I know each of you who receive this mean so much to her. She adores the people who God has brought into her path.
Her birthday is February 1st. I'm trying to keep her off this page so that she receives the blessing of this kind of surprise on her actual birthday. So if you intend to give something, please try and do that before Saturday the 1st of February. Thanks!! Valerie Dykes
