Make Your Own!

This winter, after many months of planning, we began the process of bringing a tiny human into the world. As a queer couple, the process of creating this new little one was unorthodox. Because our health insurance did not cover queer/trans fertility, we had to look elsewhere for care. We chose to work with a self-pay clinic in Chicago, the Chicago Women’s Health Center (CWHC). Despite the financial hurdle, we are so glad we worked with CWHC - they were AMAZING. By late March, we learned that Melady was pregnant! With nearly 20 weeks to go, we are overjoyed to welcome a little one this December.
We will not be doing a formal baby shower since we are in a new place, starting to settle in, and adjusting to these changes. If you would like to contribute to our baby fund, here is the place to do it. We greatly appreciate your support!
