In order to spend time with our little one before going back to work, we are setting up this fund for maternity/paternity leave and medical bills. Neither of us have either beyond our PTO days, and saving for maternity/paternity leave while getting ready for a baby has proven to be fairly challenging. Our goal is 10 weeks for maternity leave, with Alex taking 2 weeks paternity leave when our little one arrives and 2 weeks at the end of maternity leave to prolong when our little one has to go to daycare (for health reasons).
