To our family and friends: Our sincerest thanks and gratitude for helping us prepare for the arrival of our first child. We are anxious to meet our Barcelona Bebé in February 2021. Though our little niña will be born here in Spain, we cannot wait for you all to meet her when we are able to travel safely back to the United States!
We understand that this baby registry is a bit different than what you're probably used to, so we will try our best to explain how it works, and why we set it up this way.
PlumFund is a fundraising tool that allows gifters to contribute funds directly to the recipient. Instead of you ordering/purchasing baby products directly from places like Target or Amazon (like a normal registry), PlumFund allows you to give monetary contributions to be used toward specific baby items.
The reason why we chose this unique arrangement is to avoid the complexity and confusion of having you shop on Spanish websites or dealing with international shipping to Spain (which is costly and delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic). Instead, it is much easier for us to purchase the products we need here in Barcelona ourselves. Also, since we are hoping to move back to Austin soon, we want to spread out the timing of our purchases between our travels.
To that end, we have listed a number of products that we intend to buy, and funds contributed toward each of those products will go toward making those purchases.
