Hi all! As most people are aware, our nations current parental leave benefits and self-employment situation are not that great. We are lucky that LuLu qualifies for FMLA (unpaid), which protects her job. However, being self-employed, Lindsey does not qualify for any parental leave. She also does not qualify for short-term disability since she is not the gestational parent.

It is really important to our family that we have bonding time together after our little babe is born. Therefore, we're hoping to raise enough money that Lindsey can take extended time off from work and spend that time at home, bonding with the baby and our family, together.

We know everyone loves buying baby gifts, and we won't stop you! All we ask is that you take this into consideration as well. Every penny raised will go towards supporting our family while we get to know our Little Babe.

We are so grateful for all the support from our friends and family throughout this long process. It's been a long two years but we're finally here, and we can't wait to celebrate with everyone!
